Why Not Become a Member?

The City of Oxford Society of Model Engineers (COSME) is run entirely by volunteers who have a common interest in railways and they bring a diverse range of skills that go towards running and maintaining the miniature railway in Cutteslowe Park.

 

Many of our club members still continue to build and operate their own personal locomotives, whereas other members assist by running the club locomotives or use their skills to either maintain the rolling stock, look after the grounds or assist with track maintenance.

 

If you like interacting with members of the public, our members also undertake the roles of station staff, manning the ticket office and performing guarding duties.

 

Each week there are usually working parties on Wednesdays and Saturdays, in addition to the running days, which tend to fall on the Sundays.

You don’t need to have any past experience of engineering or miniature railways to become a member, just drop us an email or pop down and see when were open to find out a little more about what we do.
