Cutteslowe Park Miniature Railway
The Society operates the miniature railway in Cutteslowe Park, on the northern
edge of the City of Oxford. Follow the links below for more information.
The railway is open on the first, third, and occasional fifth Sunday
of each month from April to October, and also on Bank Holidays, and on Wednesdays
during the summer school holidays.
The railway consists of a ground-level track,
gauges 5" and 7¼", length 762 feet
and a raised-level track, gauges 3½" and 5", length 1163 feet. The link on the left displays
a plan of the site, in .pdf format; it requires the Adobe Reader to view it. The plan
gives a good idea of the layout, but is not up to date. In particular it shows the old
carriage shed, which has now been rebuilt and much enlarged.
