CHARITY RUN

For some years the Society has held an annual Charity Run. On that Sunday afternoon the proceeds of all ticket sales were given, without any deductions, to a Charity chosen by the members.

2004

In 2004 the Charity Run was on Sunday 25th June, and the chosen charity was the Make-A-Wish Foundation UK, which aims to grant the wishes of children aged 3 to 17 living with life-threatening illnesses. Make-A-Wish Foundation UK has granted over 4,000 very special wishes since 1986. Originally formed in Phoenix, Arizona in 1980 there are now over 30 affiliates throughout the world.
