THE 250,00th PASSENGER

Cutteslowe Park Miniature Railway is located in Oxford's largest public park and has provided enjoyment for many generations of children. The Railway is operated by the City of Oxford Society of Model Engineers, who in 2005 celebrated their 50th Anniversary.

It is therefore very fitting that on the afternoon of Sunday 16th October 2005, 6 year old Kit Wickham-Jones became the 250,000th passenger on the Railway. Kit was a little bemused by all the attention, but this did not deter his enthusiasm for his rides on the Railway.

A small memento of the occasion was presented by the Chairman of the Society, Mr Denis Mulford.

The Railway is now very much a permanent feature of the Park having recently secured a 25 year lease on the site and is looking forward to providing fun and enjoyment to further generations of children, of all ages.
